IN WHAT WAYS DOES YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT USE, DEVELOP OR CHALLENGE FORMS AND CONVENTIONS OF REAL MEDIA PRODUCTS?
I have presented the Forms and Conventions of my film opening as a YouTube video, using annotation notes on every scene to answer the question and what terminology is used in that scene, whether ranging from camera shots (e.g. pan shot, tilt shot) to sound effects (e.g. tense music, camera shot sounds) to what we were trying to achieve with this effect (e.g. creates a sense of surprise among the audience).

Alex offers clear evidence of an excellent grasp of film opening conventions (explanation of the visual and sound codes of the production company ident; placement of credits).
ReplyDeleteHe writes with good understanding of thriller film genre codes and conventions and film language (analyses lighting, casting and use of monochrome in model shoot; analyses the filter and sound in the voyeur scene and how it shapes meaning for the audience;framing of stalking shots; analysis of climax). Excellent work.
